Obituary for Betty R. Cain

Betty R.  Cain
Betty R. Cain, 87, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Mt. Vista Rehabilitation and Health Center surrounded by family, friends and loving caretakers.
She was born on March 28, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of John H. and Aline Robertson.
Betty was a retired school teacher. She taught for over 35 years at Eudora, Montrose, Ross Van Ness and Lake Village, all in southeast Arkansas.
She was a former member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church of Eudora, Arkansas and a current member of First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, Arkansas.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cain, Jr. They were married for 49 years.
Survivors include her children. Sandy and Mike McFalls of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Blair and Rex Guynn of Harrison, Arkansas; and Dr. James E. Cain, III of Lampasas, Texas. She had seven grandchildren; Hayzen and his wife Desiree Guynn of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Becca and her husband Andy Davis of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Jay Lively of Springfield, Virginia; Ben McFalls of Wilmington, North Carolina; Kate McFalls of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and Claire and Emily Cain of Lampasas, Texas. She had 3 great grandchildren, Jett and Luca Guynn of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and Kate Davis of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Wheless of Birmingham, Alabama. Nephews and nieces who survive her are Joe Wheless of Panama City, Florida, Johnny Wheless of Birmingham, Alabama and Pat Burleson of Birmingham, Alabama and their families; Steve Savage and family of Columbia, Missouri and Wayne Savage of Washington, D.C.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 21st, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, Arkansas with Rev. D.C. Adams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 164, Eudora, Arkansas, 71640 or to First Presbyterian Church, 220 Arbor Drive North, Harrison, Arkansas 72601.
