George, my old friend - what hath been wrought? This was never in the cards, never. This is an anomoly, a horror. Know what isn't a horror? Your life and the fact that God put you here for a while. That was a gift. It was a gift to me to hang out with you, to just chill and listen to your music collection, which was first rate. Being around you was always a relaxing, thought provoking, and highly entertaining time. Hard to beat good tunes, stimulating conversation and hilarity for an evening, to be sure. I hope you can read this, or read what's in my heart, which I'm guessing is how angels do it. Thank you for being here, for giving shelter from the storms, no questions asked, and for always without fail yelling "Come in!" at the knock-knock-knocking upon your door. For now just take a little piece of my heart right on up there with you, please. The Good Lord knows there are quite a few pieces already there, and I imagine you'll find Missy, Chuck, Bubba, Arlene, and Diane with no problem. I feel like they will be the ones in the very front, holding out hands to lift you on up. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end, we'd sing and dance forever and a day... and now you shall. Peace, love, and goodness.

Dearest George, I'm so sorry you had to suffer violence resulting in your passing away. You have so many friends who miss and love you greatly. You will live on in our hearts and our memories. We are still in shock over your passing. You had become a part of our family and we cannot believe you are gone. We love you and will truly miss you ol' friend. George, I was just looking at a birthday party picture when we were probably 4 or 5 years old. There we both were that far back. And there was David Dees with us! We played many an hour at your house or at grandmother's, across the highway from each other. You were a talented man and you shared that talent for many years, in many venues and with many friends. I hope you somehow understood in the hospital how this has brought an army of your friends, acquaintances, classmates together all in support of you. It would make you very proud and be very humbling. It's been an incredible sight to see. You were loved. I pray you will rest in peace.

George, we are so sorry that this happened to you and that you left us so early and unnecessary. We cant imagine what you were feeling those 2 days that you were just left alone, but know that there are a whole bunch of us that care and love you and we will not rest until you receive the justice that you so deserve. U will b missed...its been 30 yrs since I seen George..i was a teenager an I was one of George's groopie. Listening to his music an visiting...i could see Diane with her arms open for George when he went through the gates to heaven..i know he will b missed a lot..lots of friends...love u George...
